Stacks or No Stacks?

3 03 2010

Everyone has seen the bigger rigs with large exhaust stacks but should people who drive diesl trucks be able to put stacks on there pickup trucks. Now I personally love the look of the smoke stacks coming out of the pickup truck bed. My other question I have that I want peoples feed back on is, its one thing to put smoke stacks on a diesl pickup truck but if you have a gas truck should you be allowed to put stacks on it? We want to know the rules for putting stacks on a truck? leave coments about what you think is wrong and right about smoke stacks.

New GTO, Go or NO?

3 03 2010

In 2005 pontiac brought back the mighty GTO the first ever muscle car back in 1964. Pontiac redesigned the GTO besides the badge on the side of the car that tells you what it is the car just doesn’t stand out. Instead of trying to create a whole new car Pontiac should have when back and brought some of the styles of the 60s GTOs. Besides the new GTO being plain, like and other GM cars its a performer with its LS1 V8 with either 350 to 400 horsepower this GTO is the farthest thing from slow. I like the car because its fast and fun to drive event though its not flash the hood scopes on the front and the aggressive stance it looks amazing, The best part of the car is you can drive it anywhere and not worry about where you park it.

Affordible Muscle

want a hot rod but just don’t have pockets deep enough to buy one. There are some american cars out there that are amazing preformance cars but just don’t get the reconization they deserve. Two get examples are the 2002 Camaro SS and the 2002 Pontiac Firebird WS6, both these cars have great body lines and and the stock preformance to hold there own on the track. With the LS1 chevy motor (the same motor used in C5 corvettes) these cars are unbelievibly fast but people just don’t appreciate these cars so there price is very low for the amount of car your buying.

Tires?

2 03 2010

With all of the new performance out there today there is still on thing you need and that is a good set of tires. There is such a wide variety of pattern, Sizes and styles. You can have tires only for the snow with studs or if your racing across the salt flats you have tires for that. There is also many brands out there with such different views and ideas trying to solve the same idea. What makes a company better than another? Prices? warranty? Tires are a sore subject for me, i just stick with the semi aggressive ATR tires from good year on my truck and i have never had a problem with vibration or noise on the highway. There is a line you have to cross when it comes to tread, if you travel on highway with the boggers on that is going to be a roller coaster ride in it self.

Ultimate Stock Sleeper

2 03 2010

Ford and Chevy have both made some very looking and performing cars. But we have all pulled up next to some guy in a truck or car, while your in your sports car wanting to show it of by beating him to the next light. The light turns green an you look in your rear view and he is not there, he is right next to you giving you a run for your money then all you see is a ford truck pass you. Ford made the Lightning that has a 5.4L supercharged V8 that is pumping out 380hp, might i add this is in a sporty version of and F-150 body so no one would expect it. I think Ford nailed the coffin shut with the lightning and the ultimate sleeper.

Chevy Volt

2 03 2010

This is no concept car anymore, no this is the real deal. But the release date has been pushed back. Chevy has been known for there gas guzzling SUVs and there trucks but are now trying to move towards green initiative. The first started with the Flex Fuel and now are going for gold with a car that claims it can travel 40 miles on battery power. But in the early stages of planning there was a claim this car had 230 miles per gallon and that was soon put to a stop. This car along with Chevy’s other new and amazing line up could get them out of this economic slump. Chevy needs to put all of the bells and whistles into this car, this could be the turn around they were looking for.

Slammed Trucks vs Lifted Trucks

2 03 2010

What do you like to see a truck that is half an inch off the ground or a truck with 35 inch boggers rolling towards you. I think it has to be the stupidest thing in the world to lower a truck! They made trucks to work, not rip out the suspension and put hydraulics in just so you can drive your “brothers” around all day. If you are going to modify a truck grow a pair and lift it up and through some aggressive tires on it. Make a truck live up to its standards. If you are going to “Slam” a truck please save the embarrassment to the truck and your self and do it with a Honda or Toyota. Just grow a pair and throw a lift kit on it with some new tires and you are good to go , but lower the truck you shouldn’t own a truck.
